Emily Jayne’s has officially become a national award-winning salon! Hot on the heels of our local awards, we’ve been named the Best Hair & Beauty Salon in the country and we’re absolutely overjoyed!
How Did We Get Here?
My dream for Emily Jayne’s is being realised, with our hard work, dedication and training recognised by Englands Business Awards.
It was my clients who made this happen after they nominated Emily Jayne’s for the regional competition. After visits from representatives and possibly a secret shopper or two, we presented ourselves for an evening of glitz and glamour in Birmingham. Delicious food and socialising were followed by the revelation that we were an award-winning company, selected for Best Warwickshire Business and Best Warwickshire Hair & Beauty Salon!
The England Finals
We barely had time to settle down after regionals before we were going out again, this time to the grand final! We went to another stunning location, brimming with award-winning businesses from all over the country. We held our breath… we were among the most talented stylists and beauticians in the country, decided by professionals and the public.
We left that room as a national award-winning institution, the Best Hair & Beauty Salon of 2022! The gold-framed award sits in pride of place in our salon in Bishops Itchington, encouraging clients and motivating us to go about our work with even more enthusiasm than ever before. If it wasn’t for our clients, we’d never have gotten this far, which is why we must work harder than ever to create a peaceful oasis for styling and self-care.
What Makes An Award-Winning Salon?
How did we become nominated and what made us award-winning? Was it because of what the representative saw or what the mystery shopper experienced?
Emily Jayne’s is home to three different services. Our popular hairdressing is performed by a variety of different stylists, all of whom have different specialities. We work as a team to give you your dream hair, offering tints, perms and foils, in addition to trims and washes. Our beauty treatments focus on providing a gorgeous environment, where the stresses and strains of the day can just melt into nothing, surrounded by aromatherapy oils and relaxing candles. Our therapists and beauticians can give you a deeply soothing massage or a facial, which are sometimes combined with brand-new anti-ageing technology, such as a hyaluronic face mask with microcurrent treatment. We offer waxing, nails, lashes and eye treatments, in addition to our innovative array of aesthetics services, including wrinkle-relaxing injections and dermal fillers.
Yes, we’ve got a library of treatments that make us ready for anything. Our award-winning salon can curl your tresses and paint your nails, soften frown lines or shape your lips. However, I think it comes down to something summed up in a quote by the author Terri Gillespie:
‘It was happening. At least in that little section of the salon, women were connecting and doing what women knew how to do, show compassion, nurturing, and helping someone fit in.’
